Write it once. Keep editing the same message.

Rules, security notices, onboarding, staff announcements - the messages a server posts and then keeps around. Compose a clean embed in the dashboard, watch the live preview, hit Publish. Change your mind tomorrow and Publish again: AntiLink edits the message it already posted instead of stacking a second one underneath.

Welcome to Sanctuary

Read before you post. Be decent, keep it in the right channel, and no unsolicited DMs to members. Staff are in #support if you need a hand.

Last updated by the staff team

What you see is what gets posted. The preview mirrors the same title, body, colour bar and footer the bot builds before it sends anything.

Publish, edit, publish - one message the whole time

Most bots post a brand new message every time you touch an announcement, and your rules channel ends up a graveyard of near-identical copies. AntiLink binds the announcement to the message it created and keeps editing that one.

01Publish

AntiLink posts the embed and remembers the message it created.

Message created

bound message A

02Edit the draft

You fix a typo, change the colour, rewrite the body. Nothing in Discord moves yet.

Draft only

bound message A

03Publish again

The same message is edited in place. No second copy, no duplicate wall of near-identical embeds.

Same message updated

bound message A

04Move the channel

Point it at a different channel and the old copy is removed before the fresh one is posted.

Old copy removed

bound message B

Steps 01 to 03 all live in the same posted message, so the link you pinned still works and nobody gets a fresh notification for a typo fix. Only step 04 replaces it, and even then the old copy is cleaned up first.
Announcements can never ping

No accidental @everyone. Not even by mistake.

Every announcement is published with mentions disabled at the payload level - not filtered out of your text, but refused by Discord. Write whatever you want in the body; it renders as plain words and notifies nobody.

What the bot sends

allowedMentions: { parse: [] }

Applied to every publish and every re-publish, with no per-announcement override to get wrong.

  • Manage Server to edit. Only server managers can create, change, publish or take down an announcement.
  • Bounded content.Titles, bodies and footers are capped to Discord's embed limits, and a server holds at most 25 announcements.
  • Posted by your serving bot. On a white-label server the embed goes out under your own custom bot, otherwise under the main AntiLink bot.

Optional, deliberate pings are a possible future option. Today the answer is simply no, which is the behaviour you want on a message you will re-publish a dozen times.

Checked again the moment it posts

Permissions drift. Channels get deleted. AntiLink re-verifies the live channel on every publish rather than trusting what the dashboard saw earlier, so you get a clear message instead of a silent failure.

Channel is realStill exists, and is a text or announcement channel
View ChannelThe bot can see the destination
Send MessagesThe bot is allowed to post there
Embed LinksWithout it the embed would not render

If any check fails the publish stops and tells you which permission is missing. Nothing half-posts.

Four controls, no surprises

The draft in the dashboard and the message in Discord are two separate things, and you always know which one a button touches.

💾

Save

Stores the draft. Nothing is posted to Discord until you say so.

📌Staff announcements

Event details that shift right up to the day.

What this version is not

We would rather name the gaps than let you find them.

  • No variable substitution. There is no {server.name} yet - what you type is exactly what is posted.
  • One embed per announcement. No multi-embed layouts and no image attachments.
  • No scheduling. You press Publish when you want it live.
  • No pings, by design. Controlled mentions are a possible follow-up, not a feature today.

Compose it. Publish it. Fix it later.

Add AntiLink, open Announcements, and write the message your server keeps coming back to. It is free on every plan, and it will never wake anyone up.

Included on AntiLink Basic, AntiLink Plus and AntiLink Premium alike.
