Automation makes the call. Humans get the last word.

Every filter is wrong sometimes. Appeals gives the member a button instead of a grudge: one tap in their DM opens a review request, it lands in a staff queue with the full context attached, and a human decides. No mod-mail, no screenshots, no arguing in general.

Appeals is included on every plan, at no cost. Nothing here is behind a paywall.

01

Request

The member taps Request Review in the DM AntiLink already sent them.

02

Queue

The appeal lands in your log channel and the dashboard queue, in full.

03

Decide

Approve or reject. The record is stamped with who decided, and when.

STATION 01

The appeal starts where the removal ends

When AntiLink deletes a message it already DMs the member with what happened, the original text and the links it detected. Appeals adds one button to that same DM. There is nothing new to learn and nothing to type: the context is already in front of them.

  • Deletions only. Warn-only mode keeps the message, so there is nothing to appeal and no button is attached. Quarantine stays a silent staff review.
  • Tied to the exact record. The button carries the moderation log entry, so the appeal arrives with the real reason and the real links, not a recollection of them.
  • Instant confirmation. They get a reply the moment it is filed, so nobody follows up in your public channels asking whether it went through.

You decide with the evidence, not the argument

Every appeal is stored with the facts attached, pulled straight from the moderation record. No screenshots to chase and no he-said-she-said.

✅ Approved by @timeout

Buttons removed after the decision.

Decide here and the embed turns green or red, the buttons come off so nobody double-clicks it, and AntiLink DMs the member the outcome.

From the dashboard

Same Approve and Reject, on the queue card. The write is scoped to your server and only touches appeals still marked pending, so a tab you left open yesterday can never flip a decision your co-mod already made.

A dashboard decision records the outcome on the appeal: the status, the reviewer and the UTC timestamp. The member notification is what the log-channel buttons send, so use those when you want the member told directly.

AAntiLinkDirect Message

Your review request in Sanctuary Gaming was approved.

Best effort. If the member has DMs closed, the decision is still on the record.

An appeal button that cannot be abused

Opening a channel between every member and your staff is only safe if the rules are enforced by the bot, not by trust. Here is what is checked, every single time.

🪪

Only the author can appeal

The Request Review button is checked against the moderation record. If the clicker is not the member whose message was removed, AntiLink refuses it outright.

1️⃣

One appeal per removal

Each appeal is tied to a single moderation record. Click the button twice and the second attempt is told the request is already in.

🛡️

Manage Server to decide

Approve and Reject in the log channel require the Manage Server permission. In the dashboard, only members who can manage the server reach the queue at all.

🔒

A decision is final on first click

Once an appeal leaves pending, both routes lock it. A second reviewer on a stale page is told it was already decided instead of overwriting the first call.

📥

No log channel, no lost appeal

If the server has no notification channel set, the review post is skipped but the appeal is still recorded and waiting for you in the dashboard queue.

🤐

Nothing is auto-restored

Approving records the outcome. It does not repost the message or quietly trust the domain, so a decision can never widen your protection behind your back.

The false-positive radar

The same domain, three appeals. That is not a member problem.

A queue is not just a chore list, it is a signal. When the same domain keeps coming back and you keep approving it, your filter is fighting your own community. Appeals is where you notice, and the Whitelist is where you fix it for good.

  • Approving is a decision, not a patch. It closes the appeal. It does not repost the message or trust the domain next time.
  • Fix the source. Add the domain to your Whitelist and that appeal stops being filed at all, for everyone, forever.
  • Rejections are signal too. A pile of rejected invite appeals means the rule is landing exactly where you wanted it. Leave it alone.

What this is telling you

Two clip domains your members use constantly, approved every time. Whitelist them and the desk goes quiet. The invite appeals stay rejected, which means that rule is doing its job.

🤝

Strict without feeling unfair

You can run aggressive protection because there is a visible way back. Members stop reading a deletion as a punishment.

🧵

Gets it out of your channels

No more asking why a message vanished in general. It goes to a queue, with the evidence, where it belongs.

🧾

Accountable by default

Who decided, what they decided and when, on every appeal. Your moderation stays reviewable months later.

Give the filter a court of appeal.

Add AntiLink and the review desk opens with it. No setup, no plan to buy, no extra command for your members to memorise. Just a button, a queue, and a human at the end of it.
